Relationships

I believe that the best philosophical premise for a successful organization is the imperative of encouraging, building, and nurturing relationships, both within and outside of the organization.

This imperative recognizes (a) that the informal structure within an organization is directly tied to, and fundamental to the organizational culture; (b) that the culture and the relationships are in many ways more powerful than the formal structure; and (c) that a philosophy focusing on interpersonal relationships and collaborative partnerships is a more effective way of succeeding as an organization than a process or technical orientation.
